Chasing Life “The Big Leagues” Episode 16 airs Tuesday, Feb 16 at 9/8c on ABC Family. In tonight’s episode, April gets some welcome news from Dr. Hamburg that bodes well for both her and Leo. At work, she gets wind of a possible story opportunity with baseball player Richie Miranda, but when she gets a bigger scoop than she bargained for, she is faced with a tough moral choice. Meanwhile, Leo grows increasingly uncomfortable living in the shadow of his family and their wealth and looks to Sara for guidance. Sara feels a need to make more of a positive impact with her therapy work after a clash with her office neighbor, an immigration lawyer. And Greer makes a bold change in her behavior at school that intrigues Brenna.

While April and Leo try chart new relationship waters, April and Dominic spend an incredibly awkward night together covering the same event for the newspaper, and it’s clear that the pain of their breakup is still very fresh. With Dominic’s heart on his sleeve and not knowing where she stands with Leo, will April be more confused than ever on what to do about either guy? Meanwhile, Natalie and George have some unexpected news for the Carvers.

Show Summary: “Chasing Life” is adapted from the successful Televisa Spanish-language Mexican television series and is a co-production of BV Family Productions, Lionsgate, and Televisa in association with ABC Family. “Chasing Life” stars Italia Ricci (“Unnatural History”), Mary Page Keller (“NYPD Blue”), Aisha Dee (“I Hate My Teenage Daughter”), Richard Brancatisano (“The Elephant Princess”) and Haley Ramm (“Red State”).

The series follows twenty-something April (Ricci), a smart and quick witted aspiring journalist who is trying to work her way up the ladder at a Boston newspaper by trying to impress her hard-nosed editor. When not pursuing the latest scoop, April tries to balance her ambitious career with her family – her widowed mom Sara (Keller), rebellious little sister Brenna (Ramm) and her grandmother. Just as things start to look up at work, home and on the romance front with co-worker Dominic (Brancatisano), April gets the devastating news from an estranged uncle that she has cancer. Aaron Kaplan (“GCB,” “The Neighbors,” “Terra Nova”), Susanna Fogel and Joni Lefkowitz will serve as executive producers.
