‘Homeland’ Season 4 Two Hour Premiere Announced; ‘The Affair’ Premiere Moved Up

Showtime is jumping back in to Homeland with a two-hour season four premiere set to air Sunday, October 5th beginning at 9PM. Additionally, the premium channel has also pushed up the premiere date for their new marriage drama The Affair, which will now premiere Sunday, October 12th at 10PM. The Affair stars Dominic West (The Wire), Ruth Wilson (Luther), Maura Tierney (ER) and Joshua Jackson (Fringe) as two couples whose relationships become entwined during a vacation.

“In the aftermath of Homeland’s stunning finale last season, there is such strong anticipation for the start of season four that we wanted to give Homeland fans an extra generous helping of Carrie and company,” said Gary Levine, Executive Vice President, Original Programming, Showtime Networks. “Once we decided to premiere Homeland with a double episode, it made sense to use the momentum of that event to launch our newest series, The Affair, the very next week on October 12th.”

Season four of Homeland was filmed entirely on location in South Africa as a result of Carrie’s (Claire Danes) new overseas position. The new season will find her pregnant and on the front lines of the fight against terrorism once more. Are you looking forward to seeing episodes one and two back-to-back?
