‘Uncle’ Series Premiere Date Announced by DirecTV’s Audience Network

DirecTV’s Audience Network’s latest foreign acquisition is the BBC Three comedy Uncle. The Futon Critic reports Uncle will premiere Wednesday, October 14 at 8:30pm ET/PT on Audience Network, an exclusive channel for DirecTV subscribers. The comedy focuses on the adventures of a 12-year-old boy, Erroll (Elliot Speller-Gillott) and his “man-child” uncle Andy (Nick Helm). Uncle will air alongside DirecTV’s first original comedy Things You Shouldn’t Say Past Midnight.

“We are excited to add UNCLE, a series that is both hilarious and endearing, to Audience Network’s diverse programming line-up,” said Chris Long, SVP Original Content and Programming, DirecTV. “We recently announced our first foray into producing an original comedy series and we think UNCLE will wonderfully complement our inaugural effort.”

Catch Uncle exclusively on DirecTV beginning Wednesday, October 14th at 8:30pm ET/PT.
