Comic Con 2014: Entering the Crazy World of Teen Wolf

Teen Wolf

On the first day of Comic Con 2014, the cast of Teen Wolf, which included Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden, Shelley Henning and new series regular cast member Dylan Sprayberry, as well as series creator Jeff Davis returned to the annual event once again to thrill a packed audience of fans.

The first announcement that Jeff made was that MTV announced the show received a 20-episode renewal for a fifth season, which was greeted with a huge round of applause by the exuberant audience. He also explained that he had to quickly come up with a “big bad” for the current season, which was worked out during a conversation with his brothers over the holidays.

The conversation then turned to the announcement that Dylan S. will be back for season five as a series regular; and much like how Stiles and Scott have taken Liam under their wing, Tyler and Dylan O. have taken Dylan S. under their wing behind the scenes because the latter is the same age as the two former actors were when they started on the show.

Some of the other discussions that were held throughout the panel included:

• Liam will continue to struggle with his newfound powers;
• Derek’s secret that he is slowly using his powers will remain a secret for now;
• Lydia will “enjoy some romantic freedom” for a while and more will be revealed about her being a banshee;
• Peter’s plan will come to fruition; and,
• We have not seen the last of Danny (recurring guest star Keahu Kahuanui).

Ironically, when Tyler P. was introduced to the stage he did a wild cartwheel stunt and joked as he sat down at the panel table that he thought he broke his toe; a few days later it was announced that he actually did.

The next new episode of the fourth season of ‘Teen Wolf’ will air on MTV on Monday, August 4 at 10/9c.
