NBC Stocks Up On ‘AGT”, ‘Last Comic’ & ‘Ninja Warrior’

NBC is stalking up on reality. The network has given renewals to America’s Got Talent, Last Comic Standing, and American Ninja Warrior. Paul Telegdy, the president of Alternative and Late Night Programming at the NBC Entertainment, made the official announcement.

“The renewal of these three series is evidence that we continue to hit our stride in delivering quality entertainment to a broad viewership,” said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. “All of the hard-working talented people on these shows — both behind and in front of the camera — should feel very proud of their achievements.”

The renewal brings ‘America’s Got Talent’ into its tenth season with the pick-up a ninth season for ‘Last Comic Standing’, and a fourth season for ‘American Ninja Warrior’.

Looking at the summer ratings, NBC has consistently generated the highest regular-program ratings in regards to the Big 4 networks. NBC has also managed to come out on top every week this summer among the demographic of adults 18-49 with the exception of two weeks when ABC aired the NBA Finals.
