On TV Tonight, Wednesday, 7/16/14: Young & Hungry, The Divide and More

TV Equals Summer 2014 Wednesday

Our Picks

Young and Hungry – 8pm ABC Family
Young & Hungry is the most adorable show on television, but I am concerned they are burning through sitcom tropes at an alarming rate. There is a pregnancy scare tonight…which yes, it did catch my attention…but seriously, save something for season three, show.

The Divide – 9pm WE
Now WE is in the scripted drama game. If your TV schedule looks anything like me you probably already get overwhelmed and end up watching cooking shows on a loop to avoid making choices, so adding yet another new show to the lineup sounds daunting. I think The Divide has potential though. It is a political thriller/murder mystery with a healthy helping of race relations. Whether it can pull off telling stories gracefully is still up in the air. I’m giving it a shot though while reserving the right to watch Cutthroat Kitchen instead.

Motive – 10pm ABC
Motive! I just really adore this show and it is always a safe bet.
