Chasing Life Season 1 Review “Clear Minds, Full Lives, Can’t Eat!”

Chasing Life episode 6 Clear Minds, Full Lives, Can't Eat (10)

Chasing Life returned this week, picking up where the show left off last week with April looking for space and room to clear her head from all of the talk about procedures and the like. Her freedom was short-lived though with Sarah attending her doctor’s appointment with George, setting up meditation circles and switching her entire room over so that she is exposed to less germs. Some of the scenes were comical but most were sweet and painted a pretty realistic picture of a concerned parent who feels helpless and overcome by emotion.

The good news to come out of this was that April knows now that she can finally lean on her mother. That all seems to take a back seat however when April finds out that Leo is terminal. Before I skip too far ahead though, it was great when Leo told her she was uptight and boring. April really showed him with her paddle shifting. The kiss they shared was unexpected, especially with Leo the one to initiate. April was quick to point out that she has a boyfriend, but Leo didn’t seem to care and that’s what makes his character so appealing.

After having a seizure Leo is still upbeat and tells her that she’ll grow to love him. We also find out that he only has a couple of months to live. These two are great for one another and he really speaks to all of us when he talks about living life to the fullest since you don’t know what tomorrow will bring. I think from here on out we’ll be seeing a lot more of Leo and April and by the looks of the previews there will also be a love triangle set to play out!
