On TV Tonight, Tuesday, 7/15/14: Matador, The Night Shift and More

TV Equals Summer 2014 Tuesday

Our Picks

Matador – 9pm El Rey
Full disclosure: I will not be able to bask in Matador‘s wonderful absurdity because my provider does not carry El Rey. Such is life. If you do have a chance to watch a show about a professional soccer play who is also an undercover spy, then you should grab that opportunity with both hands and never let go…at least for one episode.

The Night Shift – 10pm NBC
The Night Shift became a surprise hit this summer. The best surprise is it was actually a good show. The first season finale airs tonight. Happily. we already know the series is coming back for a second season of hospital drama.

Sullivan & Son – 10pm TBS
Sullivan & Son will never be Cheers, but it’s Cheers Lite and sometimes that will work in a pinch. Tonight, a bar stool is declared lucky, and i cannot resist a hook with so much potential for silliness.
