BBC America Announces ‘A Poet In New York’ Starring Rev’s Tom Hollander For Fall 2014

Rev star Tom Hollander is resurrecting famed poet Dylan Thomas in the television film A Poet In New York, airing fall 2014 on BBC America. The film marks the 100th anniversary of Thomas’ birth by retelling his final days. Written by Andrew Davies (Little Dorrit), A Poet in New York will move between 1953 New York where Thomas is on a path of destruction that would lead to his death at the age of 39, and his younger days in Laugharne in Wale.

In addition to Hollander, the film also stars Essie Davis (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries), as Dylan’s wife Caitlin, Ewen Bremner (Trainspotting, Page Eight), and Phoebe Fox (Switch).

A Poet in New York originally aired on BBC Two earlier this year in the UK.
