The news broke befittingly yesterday morning when Barrowman was quoted at the upfronts saying, “You can’t keep a good bad guy down” and then an hour later, the folks at TV Line confirmed the promotion news; and series lead Stephen Amell also posted at Twitter, sharing:

#Arrow has a new series regular. @Team_Barrowman — What could go wrong!?!

Barrowman had this to share while on the red carpet with TV Line, “(I am) “excited to explore what is yet to come between Malcolm and [daughter] Thea… and also what’s yet to come between Oliver and Malcolm, and all of the rest of them”.

Besides his work on ‘Arrow’, Barrowman is best known for his role of Captain Jack Harkness not only on ‘Doctor Who’ but also on the popular series ‘Torchwood’. He is also an accomplished stage actor appearing in productions of “Anything Goes”, “Miss Saigon”, “Matador”, “Rope” and “Hair”.
