TV Buzz: ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Are Back on the Trail of “A,” ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Prepares for Return and More

We have sneak peeks of several of your favorite returning series this Thursday. The Pretty Little Liars gang is back, Beauty and her Beast are going on the run and Falling Skies is trying to give us nightmares. Add in moody previews for new series like Power and Manhattan, and you’ve got yourself a recipe for a full course of TV goodness.

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Gets Spooky Summer Trailer

Does Ezra have the answer to who “A” is? If he does, he needs to speak up soon because the guy is not looking so great in Pretty Little Liars‘ season five trailer. The girls are back this summer beginning Tuesday, June 10th at 8PM on ABC Family, and their lives have not gotten any easier during the break.

In addition to the unnerving teaser, ABC Family also released a new cast photo that brings to mind Hitchcock and the ’60s. Check it out below.

‘Beauty and the Beast’ Trailer: Vincent in Jail?

Vincent in jail cannot be safe for anyone, but our favorite Beast is sporting an orange jumpsuit in the new trailer. Luckily, it does not look like he will stay behind bars for long. Catherine strongly hints the duo are about to go on the run. Romantic, foolish or both? You decide.

Beauty and the Beast returns Monday, June 2nd at 9/8c on The CW.

‘Covert Affairs’ Classified Trailer is Crazy Good

Annie is kicking all kinds of butt in the latest Covert Affairs trailer.

The spy is harder than ever before as she deals with a job where everything is classified. While she may be frustrated by the covert part of her job, she has the whole danger angle under control. Covert Affairs season five premieres Tuesday, June 24th at 10/9c on USA.

WGN America Teases ‘Manhattan’

It might be too early to declare WGN America’s Manhattan a winner, but I am inclined to root for any series starring Olivia Williams. Manhattan focuses on the scientists who first tried to build an atomic bomb, as well as their families who lived on the secretive base with them. The first trailer for the series is moody, dramatic and even chilling in some places. Do you think the series can live up to the haunting imagery it presents?

Manhattan premieres Summer 2014 on WGN America.

‘Rectify’ Season 2 Teaser: Time to Wake Up

Rectify emerged as one of 2013’s hidden gems, now the series about a former death row inmate is returning for a powerful second season on SundanceTV. Daniel’s journey back into the real world will continue, even as he cannot stop recalling the 19 years he spent incarcerated. Watch the solemn trailer above.

Rectify season two premieres June 19th 9PM/8c on SundanceTV.

Starz Unveils ‘Power’ Official Trailer

“This club is the dream.”

James is a night club owner with a lucrative business and a hot spot frequented by very powerful people. His job is his opportunity to go legit…if only he could give up being a drug dealer. Power sets up this daunting scenario and then lets its lead attempt to clean up his life even as everyone around continues to try and drag him back down. Power comes from executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, and is set to premiere June 7th 9PM ET/PT on Starz.

‘Falling Skies’ Ruins Nursery Rhymes For Everyone in New Teaser

“It’s Always Darkest Before the Dawn.”

It never ceases to amaze me how goosebump-inducing nursery rhymes can become. Here Falling Skies turns “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” into a nightmarish anthem for the battle between the humans and the various aliens who have descended on Earth to make it theirs.

Falling Skies season four premieres Sunday, June 22nd at 10/9c on TNT.

Is ‘Defiance’ Secretly a Soap Opera?

Now that we have all been fully creeped out, let us end on a silly note. Is Defiance secretly a soap opera? Syfy thinks so.

Defiance season two premieres June 19th at 8PM on Syfy.

Which trailer wins the coolest trailer of the week award? Defiance and their soap spoofing? Falling Skies‘ creepy singing? Or did you prefer the solemn tone of Manhattan‘s debut preview?
