‘Hit the Floor’ Season 2 Premiere Date Announced by VH1

Hit the Floor

The VH1 drama Hit the Floor, which debuted on the cabler last May, will be back for a second season starting on Monday, May 26 with a whole lot of “things” happening.

As viewers of the series will recall from the season one finale, there was a lot of “shake up” within the L.A. Devil Girls cheerleading squad, including a new director (more on that shortly); as well as a new All-Star joining the basketball team and several new relationships starting.

Ahsha (series lead Taylour Paige) is single and now there is room for her and Derek (series regular McKinley Freeman) to explore a relationship, but his bad boy reputation might be more than she bargained for. Meanwhile, Ahsha’s mom Sloane (series regular Kimberly Elise) has taken the job as Devil Girl Director, adding tension to an already strained mother-daughter relationship. Jelena (series regular Logan Browning) keeps a close eye on both Ahsha and Sloane, watching for any opportunity to get rid of them both.

The new All-Star joining the team is Zero (new cast member Adam Senn), a player that rivals Derek and Terrence (series regular Rob Riley) in ability; he immediately lusts after Jelena. And, after flirting off and on during season one, Pete (series regular Dean Cain) and Raquel (series regular Valery Ortiz) decide to give a relationship a try. Dating Pete proves to be more of a challenge than Raquel expected, when his estranged, starlet wife Lionel (new series regular Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) shows up on the scene.

The cast of ‘Hit the Floor’ also includes Katherine Bailess as Kyle, Jonathan McDaniel as German and newcomer Brent Antonello, as Jude, an ambitious junior sports agent, a schemer who wants nothing more than to be the right-hand man to Oscar (series regular Don Stark), the head of the Devils organization.

The series was created by James LaRosa who also serves as Executive Producer along with Maggie Malina, Bryan Johnson, The Film Syndicate, Susan Levison and Jill Holmes.

The second season of ‘Hit the Floor’ will premiere on VH1 on Monday, May 26 at 9/8c.
