‘Austin & Ally’ Season 4 Announced by Disney

Austin & Ally Season 2 Premiere Costumes & Courage (2)

The Disney Channel will bring back the quirky comedy Austin & Ally for a fourth season. Adam Bonnett, the executive vice president of Original Programming at Disney, confirmed the news of the series’ renewal earlier this week. The series first premiered on the network back in Dec. 2011.

“The strength of this series helped make 2013 Disney Channel’s highest rated year ever among Tweens, an audience that is invested in the ‘Austin & Ally’ stories, and the fun they experience on a journey with the characters. We’re looking forward to delivering many more engaging stories soon.”

‘Austin & Ally’ was the #1 series among kids, ages 2-11, in 2013. The show, from creators Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert, chronicles Austin Moon (Ross Lynch), an somewhat immature, outspoken and funny musician, and Ally Dawson (Laura Marano), a quiet, self-conscious songwriter. Together the two become a YouTube sensation after they appear in a music video together online. Actor Raini Rodriguez plays the character loud and eccentric Trish De la Rosa and Calum Worthy also stars as the dim-witted Dez.

‘Austin & Ally’ airs on the Disney Channel, Sunday at 8 PM EST. Are you excited to see the Disney series renewed for a fourth season? Leave your comments below.
