Warner Bros. TV is currently said to be in the market for a new home for the procedural drama The Mentalist, according to reports from Deadline. The news comes as a surprise as ‘The Mentalist’ has called the CBS network home for six season. At the moment the show attracts 11 million viewers on average, but with the network rumored to be going in a different direction – adding edgier, gritty dramas – the Simon Baker series is said to be getting lost in the sea of new hopefuls. The network has picked up 19 shows for next season which includes the long running hit series ‘The Good Wife’. So far the ABC network is said to be eying the possibility of picking up ‘The Mentalist’, with Baker on contract through season seven. Creator and show runner Bruno Heller is also expected to depart the series to run Fox’s ‘Gotham’.
