Disney Channel Announces Premiere Date for Second Season of ‘Mickey Mouse’

The Disney Channel has announced the April 11 debut of Mickey Mouse. The comedic short, set to air in the 9 p.m. timeslot, will enter into its second season with Mickey and Minnie caught up in a slew of brand new adventures. Fans can also watch the new season on WATCH Disney Channel, Disney.com and iTunes. The episode will be available the day after they air.

In the Season 2 opener entitled “Cable Car Chaos,” Mickey and Minnie will team up to stop a runaway cable car that is on the loose, running wild through the city. In the new season, fans can also expect to see Mickey rescue Minnie from her burning apartment building, the release of Minnie’s new perfume that manages to cast a spell on an entire city, and Mickey’s face-to-face meeting with a monster living in the basement of Minnie’s apartment. Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto are also expected to be part of the new season.

‘Mickey Mouse’ comes from director Paul Rudish (Star Wars: Clone Wars) who also serves as executive producer on the animation alongside Aaron Springer (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Clay Morrow (Dexter’s Laboratory).
