‘From Dusk to Dawn’ the Series Season 2 Announced by El Rey Network

From Dusk Till Dawn

The drama series From Dusk to Dawn has been given the green light for a second season on El Rey Network. The adaptation of the cult film just entered into the second week of its first season on EL Rey, and though the show isn’t currently rated by Nielsen, its storyline has proved to be a keeper for network execs. The show marks the first scripted series for the upstart.

“As the television landscape becomes even more crowded, it’s important for El Rey Network to have a recurring and memorable franchise that speaks to our audience and allows us to break away from the noise of all the competition,” El Rey vice chair Scott Sassa stated. “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series is most certainly that kind of property and we are thrilled with the response from our affiliate partners, advertisers, viewers and the international community.”

El Rey co-founder Robert Rodriguez is the creator behind the series and has directed four episodes of the drama’s first season. “This is a truly unique property and one that has really resonated for viewers,” he said. “It has been a joy to bring these characters back to life and have the opportunity to take our storytelling to a whole new place.”

The series casts boasts a talented ensemble of D.J. Cotrona, Zane Holtz, Jesse Garcia (The Avengers), Eiza González, Wilmer Valderrama (That 70’s Show), Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights), Jake Busey, Don Johnson Miami Vice), Madison Davenport, Lane Garrison, Robert Patrick, and Brandon Soo Hoo.
