‘Key & Peele’ Creators Developing New Animated Series March 17, 2014 Key & Peele, News Comedy Central has furthered their relationship with the creators of Key & Peele, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, with plans to develop a new animated series with the duo. The network has also picked up an additional two episodes of the upcoming season. Comedy Central’s Kent Alterman, the president of Content Development and Original Programming, announced the news. “Keegan and Jordan keep generating such a limitless supply of funny, inventive sketches, I’m starting to think they are not only 1/2 black and 1/2 white, but also 3/4 alien,” said Alterman. The new project will focus in on the characters of Critiquer’s Corner, Vandaveon & Mike, as 12 year-old hall monitors navigating their way through middle school. As for the comical partners show, ‘Key & Peele’, fans can expect to see an additional two episodes in the fourth season. Comedy Central has picked up 22 episodes in total, with two being the “best of” episodes. The series’ fourth season will once again consist of a combination of filmed sketches, live stage segments and a string of impressive guest stars. ‘Key & Peele’ was created by series’ stars Key and Peele, who also serve as executive producers alongside Jay Martel, Ian Roberts and Joel Zadak. Gary Mann and Tara Schuster are the executives in charge of production for Comedy Central.
