‘Maron’ Season 2 Premiere Date Announced by IFC


The second season of comedian, writer and podcaster Marc Maron’s IFC series Maron has been given a premiere date of May 8 at 10:00 pm ET/PT. Maron will welcome a slew of new guests in season 2 that includes ‘Jackass’ star Johnny Knoxville, comedian and actor Ray Romano, Bill Burr (Breaking Bad), Wyatt Cenac (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart), David Cross (Arrested Development), Joey “Coco” Diaz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Paul Feig (Director of The Heat and Bridesmaids), The Nerdist Chris Hardwick, Rachael Harris (The Hangover), Michael Ian Black (The State, Burning Love), Sarah Silverman (Wreck-It Ralph), Tom Kenny (Adventure Time), Conan O’Brien and more.

IFC previously ordered 13 all new half-hour episodes of the comedy series that follows Maron’s life, his podcast (www.wtfpod.com), and some of his messy mistakes that bring the laughs. Marc’s dysfunctional family will also return as they are forced to move in with him. Judd Hirsch (Ordinary People) plays Marc’s father with Sally Kellerman (MASH) playing the role of his mother, Andy Kindler (Bob’s Burgers, Everybody Loves Raymond) as his close friend, and Josh Brener (The Internship) as his assistant. Comedian and fellow podcaster Dave Anthony (Walking The Room podcast) will also appear in second season.

‘Maron’ was created by the title star himself along with executive producers Denis Leary and Jim Serpico, Michael Jamin, Sivert Glarum, Duncan Birmingham and Olivia Wingate. Tom Sellitti and Robert Cohen serve as co-executive producers.

The entire first season of Maron is currently available on Netflix.
