‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine,’ ‘New Girl,’ ‘The Mindy Project’ and ‘The Following’ Renewed by Fox

Fox announced a quartet of early renewals today that should make fans of comedies and Kevin Bacon happy.

The network has renewed Brooklyn Nine-Nine for a second season, New Girl for a fourth and The Mindy Project and The Following for third seasons. “These shows are some of the best and acclaimed series on television, with influential, culture-driving stars, and some of the best, most creative talent behind the camera,” said Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, and Joe Earley, Chief Operating Officer, Fox Broadcasting Company in a statement. “All four are core assets within our 2014-15 portfolio of content, and we’re really happy to bring them back to our FOX fans for another season.”

For those keeping count, Fox has also locked in Bones, Glee and Sleepy Hollow for the 2014-2015 season. More renewal announcements from the network are expected soon.
