First Lady Michelle Obama To Guest Star On ‘Parks and Recreation’

Michelle Obama

First Lady Michelle Obama will make a guest appearance in the Amy Poehler comedy series Parks and Recreation. The First Lady is expected to show up in the show’s sixth season finale that will air on April 24, TV Line reports. The one hour episode is titled “Moving Up”

Ms. Obama filmed her guest appearance this past February when she was in Miami, making the rounds to promote her program “Let’s Move.” She joins the ranks of several other politicians that have made cameos on ‘Parks and Recreation’ that include Vice President Joe Biden, Arizona Sen. John McCain, California Sen. Barbara Boxer and former Maine Sen. Olympia Snowe. Details regarding the First Lady’s cameo has been kept under wraps with many speculating that Michelle Obama will help educate the residents of Pawnee about obesity.

Following the sixth season finale, ‘Parks and Recreation’ will return sometime in the fall for a seventh season on the network. An official date of the comedy’s return has yet to be announced.

‘Parks and Recreation’ airs Thursdays, 8:30 p.m. on NBC. Will you be tuning into the series finale with special guest Michelle Obama? Leave us your comments below.
