On TV Tonight, Sunday, 3/02/14: 86th Academy Awards, The Walking Dead and More

TV Equals Midseason 2014 Sunday

Our Picks

86th Academy Awards – 8:30pm
It’s time for the Oscars– another rage generating awards show that we all watch to see who is wearing the coolest dress. However, this year, I’m watching to see Idina Menzel bring down the house with her “Let It Go” performance. Best song is the only category I have pony in this year and it is a shiny, Frozen pony.

The Walking Dead – 9pm AMC
The zombies shambled on through the Olympics; did you really think they would take a night off for the Oscars? This week’s episode sounds like it has the potential to be this season’s “Clear.” I’ve found the semi-standalone episodes of The Walking Dead my favorites, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed this episode will be similarly themed.

Girls – 10pm HBO
Hannah goes to visit her grandmother in the hospital– again, the best episodes of Girls have been the self-contained ones. Whenever Hannah is on her own interesting things to tend to happen.

8 PM – 9 PM

The Amazing Race: All-Stars – 8pm CBS

9 PM – 10 PM

True Detective – 9pm HBO

10 PM – 11 PM

Talking Dead – 10:01 pm AMC

Looking – 10:30pm HBO
