FX’s ‘Fargo’ Casts Key & Peele as FBI Agents

Key & Peele

Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele of ‘Key & Peele’ fame have been cast in the FX series Fargo from the Coen brothers. According to TV Line, the pair will take on the roles of Webb Pepper and Bill Budge, respectively. Pepper and Budge are FBI partners who become obsessed with finding Lorne Malvo who will be played by Billy Bob Thornton (Bad Santa).

Key and Peele join the already cast Martin Freeman (Sherlock), Colin Hanks (Dexter) and Kate Walsh (Private Practice) in the limited series that loosely chronicles the original 1996 movie from the Coen brothers. For the unknown, ‘Fargo’ followed Jerry Lundegaard’s inept crime that falls apart due to his henchmen’s bungling and the persistent police work of the quite pregnant Marge Gunderson. In the updated FX version Freeman’s character Lester Nygaard, inspired by Lundegaard, will see his life change when Malvo comes to town.

The series is executive produced by Joel and Ethan Coen, Warren Littlefield and Noah Hawley. ‘Fargo’ will debuts on April 15 on FX. Key and Peele will appear in the final four episodes of the 10-episode limited series. Will you be tuning into the crime thriller that features a string of well known stars?
