A&E Network Announces ‘Bates Motel: After Hours’ Special

The A&E Network has plans to bring fans of Bates Motel a live special event entitled Bates Motel: After Hours. The 30 minute segment, slated to air on March 3 at 11 p.m. est on the same night as the show’s season 2 premiere, will delve into the thriller from creator Anthony Cipriano with the series’ stars on hand to share behind-the-scenes analysis and exclusive content.

The after show, that will celebrate the drama that explores the world of the teenage Norman Bates, is currently being dubbed a one-off event, but considering the success of the series, future installments with the cast and the crew is a strong possibility. The season one premiere of ‘Bates Motel’ broke network records, attracting 3 million total viewers and 1.6 million adults 25-54 and 18-49.

According to the network, the ‘Bates Motel: After Hours’ will feature Vera Farmiga (Norma Bates), Freddie Highmore (Norman Bates), Max Thieriot (Dylan Massett) and executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin , who are all on board for a sit down. The actors will give their thoughts and insight on the show’s journey so far and what’s to come in the upcoming season. The special will air in front of a studio audience in New York in the late night timeslot following the series premiere of ‘Those Who Kill’ at 10 pm est.
