The mean streets of ’40s era Hollywood are just going to have to tidy themselves up.

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Mob City has been cancelled after its low-rated, three week run in December 2013. The noir series was created by Frank Darabont (The Walking Dead) and starred Jon Bernthal, Ed Burns, Milo Ventimiglia and Neal McDonough. Sadly for fans, the “limited series” ended on a cliffhanger that will never be resolved.

Mob City was created as a three-week television event and we are incredibly proud of the six hours we presented of this remarkable drama,” a Turner spokesperson said in a statement. “Although the ratings of the limited series haven’t warranted more hours we are eager to work with Frank Darabont again and were delighted to bring the vibrant world of Mob City to life.”
