‘Psych’ Cancelled by USA [+Video]

Psych Season 8 Episode 4 Someone's Got a Woody (10)

It’s official, Psych-O’s; Psych‘s eighth season will also be its last.

USA broke the news today, and Dule Hill and James Roday released a special goodbye message for the fans. When the series returns from a two-week hiatus Wednesday, February 26th, there will be five episodes left to air. The series finale will air Wednesday, March 26th at 9/8c. A one-hour live after show featuring a Q&A with the entire cast and show creator, Steve Franks will air immediately after at 10/9c.

“PSYCH has made an indelible imprint on the television landscape, with a unique brand of comedy,” said Chris McCumber, President of USA Network in a statement. “The final season celebrates the iconic characters that have made this show so beloved, and will be an exclamation point on the series’ incredible run. And while the series will wrap in March somehow I don’t believe we’ve heard the last of Shawn and Gus.”

Psych‘s eight-year run has resulted in countless pop culture homages (Twin Peaks, The Shining, John Hughes’ movies…), ’80s references and a plethora of pineapples. Are you prepared to bid Shawn and Gus a fond farewell? Sound off in the comments and check out Roday and Hill’s special message below.
