On TV Tonight, Sunday, 1/19/14: Sherlock, The Following and More

TV Equals Schedules Fall 2013 Sunday

Our Picks

Sherlock – 9:58pm PBS *Check local listings.
It’s finally happening, guys. Season three of Sherlock is here. Cumberbatch and Freeman will soon be reunited on our screens, and oh it’s going to feel so good. We might even get an answer as to how Sherlock survived that crazy devastating fall that left John heartbroken and willing to grow a truly hideous mustache on his otherwise beautiful face. Is it 9:58 yet?

Looking – 10:30pm
Don’t call Looking the gay Girls. That is a faulty analogy on so many levels. HBO’s new show follows three men as they search for love, companionship and meaning. It’s moving, it’s funny– it’s everything a comedy for adults should be and so much more.

The Following – 10:30pm Fox
Just when Kevin Bacon thought it was safe to stop emoing out over serial killers, season two of The Following comes around to put his emo face back in place. Fox is premiering the new season after some sort of televised sporting event, so setting your DVR probably isn’t safe. You might actually have to watch some of the parts where the people throw the balls at each other because these things always go over. So basically, it’s a trick, but the kind of trick with Bacon at the end.
