Lilyhammer

Netflix has ordered a third season of Lilyhammer starring Sopranos’ Steven Van Zandt as a former New York mob fixer who relocates to Lillihammer, Norway to start a new life. Ted Sarandos, the chief content officer of Netflix, confirmed the digital platform’s decision to renew the crime drama following its second season debut in December.

Season three will see Van Zandt’s Frank still living under the witness protection program as Johnny Henriksen, a father of two and night club owner. After his former mob associates find out he is still alive, his new life will come under threat with plenty of new complications. The new season will become available on Netflix later this year with an official release date to follow. Trond Fausa (The Bothersome Man), Steinar Sagen (Jubalong), Marian Saastad Ottesen (Moving On) and Tommy Karlsen (Ed, Edd, ‘n’ Eddy) also star.

‘Lilyhammer’ is produced by Rubicon TV AS and co-produced by Netflix for NRK/Netflix in association with Red Arrow International. Trond Berg Nilsen and Agnete Thuland also serve as producers along with executive producers Lasse Hallberg and Steven Van Zandt. Are you a ‘Lilyhammer’ fan? Will you be tuning in to the new season?
