AMC Announces 2014 Programming Slate Incuding ‘Mad Men’ Season 7 Premiere

AMC unveiled their 2014 programming slate at the Winter TCA press tour. Among the highlights were the reveal of Mad Men‘s season seven premiere date, news on the Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul and much more.

The first half of Mad Men‘s seventh and final season will premiere Sunday, April 13th at 10PM. It will be accompanied by the premiere of the American Revolution drama Turn, which kicks off the week before on Sunday, April 6th at 9PM with a special 90 minute premiere. The summer will bring season four of Hell on Wheels, and the new ’80s set, computer-centric drama Halt and Catch Fire. Finally, in November, AMC will debut the highly anticipated Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul, and in October, season five of the monster hit The Walking Dead begins.

On the reality side of things, The Talking Dead has been given an official season five pick-up, while the new reality series Game of Arms is set to premiere Tuesday, February 25th. In May, Small Town Security returns for season three and Freakshow for season two.

“We are extremely excited about the 2014 line-up,” said Charlie Collier, AMC President and General Manager in a statement. “Both the returning and new series reflect our commitment to serving passionate audiences with compelling, character-driven story-telling.”

Kicking things off this winter is the premiere of the second half of The Walking Dead‘s fourth season on Sunday, February 9th at 9PM, followed by The Talking Dead at 10PM.
