“We are excited to expand our comedy brand with two new series that build on our already solid comedy block of hits, ‘Melissa & Joey’ and ‘Baby Daddy,’” said Kate Juergens, Chief Creative Officer and Executive Vice President of Programming and Development, ABC Family in a statement. “Viewers are excited to see Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth back on television together again, and will fall in love with ‘Young & Hungry’ star Emily Osment in these comedies that bring us fun, new characters with which to laugh out loud.”

Mystery Girls stars former 90210 co-stars Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth as two former TV detectives who reunite to solve a real mystery. Charlie Contour (Garth) leads a normal life in suburbia while Holly Hamilton (Spelling) is still pining for her ’90s fame. Tori Spelling (“Beverly Hills, 90210,” “Tori & Dean: Inn Love”), Jennie Garth (“Beverly Hills, 90210,” “What I Like About You”) and newcomer Miguel Pinzon (“A New York Love Story”) star in the series. The other other newcomer, Young & Hungry, tells a contemporary tale about a tech entrepreneur (Jonathan Sadowski) and the food blogger (Emily Osment) who wants to be his personal chef.

Both series begin production in early 2014.
