ABC Cuts Back on Next Day Streaming Availability of Their Series

Have you cut the cable cord completely? Then ABC will be asking you to wait longer to watch new episodes of your favorite shows beginning Monday, January 6th.

The network revealed the news on ABC Go that new episodes will be available within one week of their airdate exclusively to subscribers of AT&T U-verse, Cablevision Optimum, Charter, Comcast XFINITY, Cox Communications, Google Fiber, Midcontinent and Verizon FiOS. Subscribers simply have to verify their account by entering their password and username on the ABC app or at ABC Go’s site. If your provider has an on demand services, episodes will still be available for next day viewing there as well.

However, for those without cable or satellite services, the only alternative is a Hulu Plus subscription unless you purchase episodes from iTunes or Amazon Prime. Will ABC’s decision change the way you watch their series?
