‘The Simpsons’ Plans Star-Studded Hollywood Episode Featuring Paul Rudd, Channing Tatum and More

The Simpsons first episode 0f 2014 will be a star-studded affair. In “Seal This Episode” airing Sunday, January 5th at 8pm ET/PT on Fox, The Simpsons will feature some of Hollywood’s finest guest-voicing characters for a piracy-themed episode. The line-up includes Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, Judd Apatow, Leslie Mann, Will Arnett, Channing Tatum and Judas Priest’s Rob Halford.

“Judd Apatow, Leslie Mann, Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen have been looking for a project to do together for a long time. So we were happy to finally give them this opportunity,” said THE SIMPSONS executive producer Matt Selman. “Will Arnett, Channing Tatum and Rob Halford never wanted to work together, so please don’t tell them they’re in the same episode.”

The episode will find Homer grappling with being banned from all of the theaters in Springfield, leading Bart to teach his father the art of illegal downloading. Homer takes things a step further by opening his own backyard theater, an idea that backfires when Marge’s guilt over “stealing with her eyes” leads her to tip off the FBI about Homer’s illegal activities. The Simpsons go on the run (again) to escape the justice of the head FBI anti-piracy agent (Arnett).
