TV Equals Schedules Fall 2013 Friday

Our Picks

I Love Lucy – 8pm CBS
CBS is doing something cool for the holidays this year: they are broadcasting the I Love Lucy Christmas Special and the classic grape-stomping episode in color. It’s the kind of old-school holiday style event that I can’t resist endorsing. There’s nothing more comforting than I Love Lucy reruns on a Sunday morning, catching an airing in primetime is doubly special.

Doc Martin – 9PM PBS
Doc Martin season five is quietly debuting on PBS tonight with the good doctor coming to terms with both new fatherhood and his own mortality. This sweet little show doesn’t get a lot of fanfare, but it’s a treat for Anglophiles and anyone who still misses Everwood.

Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries – 10pm PBS
Seriously, PBS, when you acquire cool new stuff you should make a little more noise about it. You may have seen Miss Fisher’s on Hulu or Netflix, but if you haven’t, check out the first episode tonight on PBS. It’s an Australian import with style, bite and awesome outfits.
