‘The Voice’ Season 6 Premiere Date Announced

The Voice - Season 4

The Voice may have just wrapped its fifth season on NBC this week, but it won’t be long before the singing series makes its return to air. According to an official announcement made by the network, season six of the series will debut on Feb. 24 and Feb. 25 at 8 ET/PT. The new season will see the return of coaches Usher and Shakira.

Viewers saw Usher and Shakira last in season four of the show after coaches Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera took a brief hiatus from the series to pursue their music ventures. After finding love among ‘The Voice’ viewers, Usher and Shakira were asked back to the NBC competition. Regular coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will also reprise their roles in the spinning chairs in the upcoming sixth season.

The show’s ratings have made the competition series the #1 Monday and Tuesday show across networks among adults, ages 18-49. The series has become the season’s #1 reality series and #3 entertainment show on the Big 4 networks in the adult demographic. ‘The Voice’ comes from One Three Media (a Hearst | Mark Burnett company), Talpa Media USA Inc. and Warner Horizon Television. Creator John de Mol executive produces alongside Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Stijn Bakkers and Lee Metzger.
