On TV Tonight, Monday, 12/16/13: Almost Human, Major Crimes and More

TV Equals Schedules Fall 2013 Monday

Our Picks

Almost Human – 8pm FOX
This whole robromance thing is working for me, even though Almost Human is basically just NCIS in the future. This week the guys stumble upon a black market organ ring, which I’m 99.9% sure was the plot of a ’70s sci-fi movie called Repo Man. The movie probably had way less quipping and no Dorian though, so it loses. Michael Ealy is so appealing in his role that I don’t care what movies the plots are cribbed from, to be honest.

Top Gear – 9pm BBC America
Top Gear is the only thing on this whole planet that can make me care about cars. I don’t even have a car, but the enthusiasm on display in Top Gear just draws me in. Tonight, Richard Hammond is counting down the top 41 moments from the last decade (!) of the show. Expect quite a few celebrity racing bits to slip in there and with any luck, that time the guys played car soccer will earn a spot on the list too.

Major Crimes – 9pm TNT
Christmas episode alert! The division is going to have their holiday vacation ruined by murder. Somehow things will probably still be festive though. (Does anyone else watch random Christmas episodes just to ogle the trees? Just me? Fine, forget I said anything.)
