‘My Mad Fat Diary’ Season 2 Premiere Date Announced by E4

Rae and friends will be back on E4 this February 2014.

The network announced My Mad Fat Diary, the unflinching teen-centric drama that tackles subjects such as weight, addiction and the growing pains of ’90s era teens, is returning for a second season of painfully funny episodes this winter. Season two will pick up in the summer of 1996 with Rae and her gang finally having moved past Rae keeping her mental health issues a secret. However, their lazy summer days are threatened by the prospect of college looming in the distance.

Rae’s panic about adjusting to new surroundings and taking her relationship with Finn to the next level will leave her more freaked out than ever. My Mad Fat Diary stars Scottish BAFTA-nominated Sharon Rooney alongside Claire Rushbrook (Rae’s Mum), Nico Mirallegro (Finn), Jodie Comer (Chloe), Dan Cohen (Archie), Ciara Baxendale (Izzy), Jordan Murphy (Chop) and Ian Hart as Dr Kester.

Once again, the second season begins February 2014 on E4.
