‘House of Cards’ Season 2 Premiere Date Announced by Netflix

Netflix has a special Valentine for fans of cutthroat political dramas: all 13-episodes of the Emmy Award Winning House of Cards season two will premiere on Friday, February 14th.

In season two, Kevin Spacey’s Francis and Robin Wright’s Claire will continue to climb the ranks of Washington D.C.’s political elite by any means necessary. Their ruthless tactics won’t go unopposed though as threats arise from every corner. Zoe (Kate Mara) will continue to search for the truth about Francis’s crimes, while Raymond Tusk (Gerald McRaney) wants return political favors for his efforts in assisting Francis’s political quests. Mahershala Ali (Treme), Sebastian Arcelus (Person of Interest), Kristen Connolly (The Cabin in the Woods), Nathan Darrow (Rigged), Sakina Jaffrey (Definitely Maybe), Michael Kelly (The Adjustment Bureau), Molly Parker (Deadwood) and Jayne Atkinson (The Following) also star.

House of Cards has landed a few big name guest directors for season two as well. Jodie Foster, James Foley (Glengarry Glen Ross) and Wright will all take a turn behind the camera.

Once again, all episodes of House of Cards season two will be available to stream instantly Friday, February 14th on Netflix.
