‘Behind the Mask’ Season 2 Announced by Hulu

Hulu is sticking with the highly acclaimed docu-series Behind the Mask for a second season. The streaming giant has ordered ten-episodes of the series directed Short Game’s Josh Greenbaum. “We are very much looking forward to working with Josh and Occupant on another season of ‘Behind the Mask’,” Hulu’s Charlotte Koh said. Adding, “Josh’s perceptive and empathetic storytelling is insightful and entertaining. He turns the mascots into everyday superheroes who we can all relate to and root for.”

‘Behind the Mask’ chronicles the adventures of a team mascot with season two scheduled to focus in on three new fascinating characters at the high school, college and professional levels. The series is currently running in its first season on Hulu with four more episodes left to the behind the scenes look at Lebanon High School’s Rooty the Cedar Tree, UNLV’s Hey Reb, Tux the Penguin of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton hockey team, and NBA mascot Bango of the Milwaukee Bucks’ acrobatic stunts. The season finale will air on Dec. 17.

The docu-series is executive produced by Occupant Entertainment partners Felipe Marino and Joe Neurauter along with Occupant executive Kate Sharp. Season two is slated to premiere on Hulu and Hulu Plus in 2014. Will you be tuning in to an all new season of ‘Behind the Mask’?
