Nat Geo’s ‘Big Cat Week’ To Kick Off On Nov. 29

Big Cat Week

Nat Geo will launch its fourth annual Big Cat Week on Nov. 29. The annual presentation will explore the world of lions, tigers, cheetahs, jaguars, cougars and more. Nat Geo plans to kick off the week with ‘Man v. Cheetah’. The special will feature Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson and the Chicago Bears’ wide receiver Devin Hester in the ultimate challenge as they attempt to race cheetahs at Busch Gardens.

The week will also include big cat wrangler Boone Smith in ‘Game of Lions’. Smith will go deep in a special series that explores Cougar v. Wolf. ‘Golden Girl’ Betty White will also help to celebrate ‘Big Cat Week’ with her own feature presentation Betty White Goes Wild!

Nat Geo’s ‘Big Cat Week’ is part of the Big Cats Initiative, supported by the National Geographic Society to put a stop to poaching, maintain habitats and save big cats around the world from danger or harm to the species. The “global initiative actively supports on-the-ground conservation projects and education” to preserve the big cats.
