‘Quick Draw’ Season 2 Announced by Hulu

Quick Draw 3

Hulu has given a second season order to the crime comedy Quick Draw. As confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, the streaming service has ordered 10 all new episodes that will air sometime in 2014. The pick-up comes after Quick Draw’s success among viewers. The series debuted back in August and has since attracted a strong fanbase.

“The second season of Quick Draw will continue to crack up current fans and win new ones,” Charlotte Koh, Hulu Originals’ head of development, said in a statement, adding: “We’re really excited to see more of John Lehr and Nancy Hower’s comedic reimagining of life in the Wild West in 1875.”

‘Quick Draw’ comes from ’10 Item or Less’ creators John Lehr and Nancy Hower. The series stars Lehr as John Henry Hoyle, a Harvard-educated sheriff who uses his talents in forensics to solve crimes in the small town Great Bend, Kansas. Season two will see the return of Deputy Eli (Nick Brown), saloon owner Honey Shaw (Allison Dunbar), outlaw Pearl Starr (Alexia Dox) and undertaker Vernon Shaw (Robert Clendenin). The comedy is the third series picked up by Hulu after the streaming giant added original scripted programming to their slate.
