Lifetime To Resurrect Betty White’s ‘Off Their Rockers’

The Lifetime network has acquired veteran actress Betty White’s hilarious comedy series Off Their Rockers, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Previously the NBC network was home to White’s show but after two seasons decided to cancel the series that sees the elderly pulling pranks on an unsuspecting younger generation.

Lifetime has picked up the third season of series, ordering 20 episodes. The half-hour hidden-camera comedy is slated to air on the women’s network sometime in 2014 with White returning as host. An official premiere date has yet to be announced.

Lifetime is fast becoming the network known to spare fan favorites who have received the axe from primetime networks. ‘Off Their Rockers’ joins ‘America’s Most Wanted’ which will air in its 25th season after Fox let the well known John Walsh crime show go. The network has also given the greenlight to the freshman drama ‘Devious Maids’ from creator Marc Cherry drama after ABC decided to pass on the show.

Betty White is best known for her roles in ‘Golden Girls’ as Rose, ‘Hot in Cleveland’ as Elka Ostrovsky, ‘Pound Puppies’ and the Sandra Bullock romance drama ‘The Proposal’. Will you be tuning in to Lifetime to watch White in ‘Off Their Rockers’? Leave us your thoughts below.
