‘Mom,’ ‘The Millers’ and ‘The Crazy Ones’ Given Full Season Orders by CBS

CBS is happy with three of their freshmen comedies. The network ordered the back nine episodes of Mom, The Millers and The Crazy Ones, guaranteeing them all a full 22-episode season.

“We’re proud of CBS’s leadership position in comedy and excited to build on it with the back nine pick-ups of these three new comedies,” said Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment in a statement. “These series are creatively distinct, continue to improve each week and are led by strong showrunners, writing and production staffs, and feature amazingly talented casts.”

With 13.71 million viewers, The Crazy Ones, starring comedy icon Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar, is the number one new comedy of the season. The Millers, starring Will Arnett, Beau Bridges and Margo Martindale, is winning its Thursdays at 8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT time period in viewers and key demographics, while Mom starring Anna Faris and Allison Janney is the third most watched comedy of the season.

CBS’s other freshman comedy We Are Men already flunked out when CBS cancelled it after just two episodes.

Mom airs Mondays at 9:30PM, while The Millers airs Thursdays at 8:30PM followed by The Crazy Ones at 9:00PM.
