Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Announced as 2014 and 2015 Golden Globe Hosts

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler stole the show when they emceed 2013’s “70th Annual Golden Globe Awards,” and now we get to look forward to two more years of the comedic duo’s hosting magic. NBC and The Hollywood Foreign Press Association have announced Fey and Poehler will be back for the “71st Annual Ceremony” which will be broadcast live Sunday, January 12th, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. (PT) and 8-11 p.m. (ET) from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, and as part of the deal they will also return to host the 2015 ceremony as well.

“Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season,” said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. “We’re elated they wanted to host together again and that they committed for the next two years.”

The real-life best friends first stint as hosts made the show the second-highest-rated Golden Globes in nine years. Poehler and Fey have previously worked together on Saturday Night Live and in the big screen comedy Baby Mama. Poehler can currently be seen Thursdays at 8PM on NBC’s critically beloved comedy, Parks and Recreation, while Fey is fresh off of a seven-year run as the iconic Liz Lemon on 30 Rock.

Do you think locking Poehler and Fey down as hosts for the next two ceremonies is an embarrassment of comedic riches or too much of a good thing? Sound off below.
