‘The Spoils of Babylon’ Miniseries Premiere Date Announced by IFC [+Video]

The Spoils of Babylon

Prepare yourselves, The Spoils of Babylon, a sweeping miniseries of ’80s epic proportions is coming to IFC on January 9th at 10PM ET/PT.

Will Ferrell will open and close each episode of the loving and hilarious homage to ’80s miniseries as Eric Jonrosh, the fictional author of The Spoils of Babylon. Consisting of six half hour episodes, the miniseries will chronicle the “sweeping tale of forbidden love, betrayal, corruption and bloodshed” amongst the wealthy Morehouse family. The star-studded affair will feature Jessica Alba, Will Ferrell, Jellybean Howie, Val Kilmer, Tobey Maguire, Haley Joel Osment, Tim Robbins, Michael Sheen, Steve Tom and Kristen Wiig with a cameo by David Spade and the voice of Carey Mulligan.

Check out the trailer below to get a sneak peek at the atrocious wigs, scenery chewing, copious amounts of drug use, murder and pseudo-incestuous love affairs to come. Over the top has never looked this ridiculously fun.

Are you prepared for The Spoils of Babylon? (And can one ever truly be prepared for such divine absurdity?)

Episodes one and two will premiere back-to-back on January 9th beginning at 10PM on IFC.
