HBO To Launch Select Shows Through Google Play

HBO has announced their plans to launch several of the network’s hit series across Google Play, according to Engadget. The pay cable network will offer non subscribers a way to watch some of their favorite shows like ‘Enlightened’, ‘Veep’ and ‘Girls’ . Viewers will able to purchase episodes from a slate of shows for varying prices, $2 to $3 per episode or $19 to $29 for a full season.

As part of the launch, HBO released the previous two seasons of ‘Game of Thrones’ on Wednesday. Fans can now purchase ‘True Blood’, ‘Boardwalk Empire’ and ‘The Newsroom’ as well with additional series on the way. “Over the next few months, we’ll be adding more of their incredible series, films, documentaries, and more,” Google said of their collaboration with HBO. Adding, “Stay tuned!”

The network also plans to offer up documentaries through the platform in the coming months.
