‘Fringe’ Alumn John Noble to Appear on ‘Sleepy Hollow

Fringe Season 5 Episode 10 Anomaly XB-6783746 (1)

Best known for his recent role of Walter Bishop on the cult favorite series ‘Fringe’, Australian actor John Noble will have a recurring role on the new FOX hit thriller Sleepy Hollow. He will appear – later in the season – as Henry Parrish, a kind and reclusive man who possesses supernatural powers that have the potential to help Ichabod Crane (series lead Tom Mison) is his mission against the Headless Horseman.

Not ironically, this role will reunite Noble with former ‘Fringe’ creatives (aka the executive producers of the show) Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Heather Kadim, all of whom worked with him on ‘Fringe’.

‘Sleepy Hollow’ debuted on FOX last Monday, finding Ichabod Crane resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to unravel a mystery that dates all the way back to the founding fathers. Revived alongside Ichabod is the infamous Headless Horseman who is on a murderous rampage in present-day Sleepy Hollow. Bound to the Headless Horseman by a blood spell cast on the battlefield of the American Revolution, Ichabod quickly realizes that stopping the Headless Horseman is just the beginning, as the resurrected rider is but the first of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Among Noble’s other credits are the ‘Lord of the Rings’ box office franchise as well as roles on TV shows like ‘The Unit’, ’24’ and the short-lived ‘Journeyman’. He began his career on the Australian stage, where he was a leader in the country’s cultural expansion of the 1970s and 1980s.

The next new episode of the debut season of ‘Sleepy Hollow’ will air tonight (September 23) on FOX at 9/8c.
