BBC’s ‘The Paradise’ Series 2 Invites You to a World of Temptation [Video] September 23, 2013 BBC UK, News Dramas about turn of the century department stores are catching on in England. First we had Mr. Selfridge, and now BBC One is bringing viewers a second season of The Paradise, a torrid romance/department store series from the writer of Lark Rise to Candleford. “I cannot quiet this hunger that has awoken in me,” says our torn between love, propriety and work heroine Denise. Yeah, you know you won’t be able to resist a show with lines like that (or maybe that’s just me). The good news for my fellow Americans is that while British viewers are enjoying the second season, we’ll soon be watching season one of The Paradise on PBS this Fall.
