‘The Originals’ Sneak Peek Photos Feature Klaus, Swordplay and Lots of Vampire Action

The CW is heading to New Orleans this fall with The Vampire Diaries spin-off The Originals, and in preparation, the network has released photos previewing the vampiric action ahead in the series timeslot premiere. So what do we have to look forward to? Shirtless Marcel for starters, but also some swordplay, brooding and bloodsucking. (Not to mention the killer scenery, thanks to the show’s Gothic New Orleans setting.)

In “House of the Rising Son,” a flashback episode in the 1800s, Rebekah heads to New Orleans at Elijah’s behest to help keep Klaus in check. Once there she’ll be reminded of all the pain her brother has caused over the years. For his part, Klaus will be too occupied trying to find Marcel’s secret weapon.

“House of the Rising Son” will air in The Originals‘ regular time slot on Tuesday, October 8th at 8/7c. The series will premiere on Thursday, October 3rd at 9PM after The Vampire Diaries season five premiere.
