Oscar Winner Susan Sarandon Set to Pay a Visit to ‘Mike & Molly’ Season 4

Mike & Molly won’t be returning to CBS until midseason, but the series has already lined up an impressive guest star: Oscar Award Winner Susan Sarandon (Dead Man Walking).

Sarandon will guest star as JC Small, a literary icon of Molly’s (Melissa McCarthy). Small is described as “part JD Salinger with a touch William Faulkner and a sprinkle of Gore Vidal, a beautiful mind and a tortured soul.” She will be on-hand to give Molly (and the rest of her family) a writing lesson that they won’t easily forget.

In addition to her famed film career, Sarandon has made multiple TV guest appearances over the years. She was most recently seen as a teacher who seduced a young Frank on 30 Rock and a motivational speaker on Showtime’s The Big C.

Mike & Molly‘s season four premiere date has not yet been confirmed by CBS, but the series is scheduled to return in 2014.
