‘The Mentalist’ Season 6 Adds Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow

The Mentalist has cast actress Emily Swallow in its upcoming sixth season that is promised to be the “most dramatic and game changing season” yet, according to series creator Bruno Heller. As confirmed by TV Line, Swallow will play a character that will make a life changing impact on The Mentalist’s Patrick Jane (Simon Baker).

Swallow’s character, Kim Fischer, has been confirmed to appear in 3 episodes with the possibility of becoming a series regular this season. Swallow joins the recently cast actor Rockmond Dunbar of ‘Prison Break’ fame who has boarded the CBS series as FBI Supervisor Agent Dennis Abbott. The duo will hopefully fill the void left by series regulars Amanda Righetti (Grace Van Pelt) and Owain Yeoman (Wayne Rigsby). ‘The Mentalist’ fall premiere will kick off on CBS, Sept. 29.

Emily Swallow’s previous credits include ‘The Lucky One’, the TV series ‘Monday Mornings’ in the role of Dr. Michelle Robidaux, TNT’s ‘Southland’, the short lived CW series ‘Ringer’ as Detective Elizabeth Saldana opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar, ‘The Good Wife’, the crime drama ‘NCIS’, ‘Medium’, 2007’s ‘Journeyman’, ‘Jericho’ and the soap opera ‘Guiding Light’.
