As fans of the spy thriller Nikita know all too well, this year’s season will be the shows last. And now, thanks to the folks over at TV Line, we have learned that Brat Pack actor Judd Nelson – best known for his roles in the 1980’s classic films ‘The Breakfast Club’ and ‘St. Elmo’s Fire’ – will play a pivotal role in the show’s final season.

Nelson will play a “a deep-cover operative working for Amanda (series regular Melinda Clarke) and The Shop’s Mr. Jones (recurring guest star David S. Lee). The report also shares that his character will have “major ties to a devious worldwide plot that only the now-estranged group of crime fighters – fans will recall that Nikita (series lead Maggie Q) took off, leaving the rest of the team behind including fiancé Michael (series lead Shane West) – can stop”.

More recently, Nelson has appeared in episodes of the TV shows ‘Psych’, ‘Two and a Half Men’ and ‘The Neighbors’ as well as the made-for-TV movie ‘Cancel Christmas’.

The CW has yet to set an official premiere date for the fourth and final season of ‘Nikita’, but it is expected to be later this season.
